About

Artist Natalie Holland surrounded by colourful wool and textile artworks.

Natalie Holland is a textile artist who uses punch needle and tufting to explore Niuean design and storytelling. Through hiapo-inspired motifs and sustainable materials, she honours her heritage and the generations of women who have shaped her creative path.

Working exclusively with ethically sourced New Zealand wool, Natalie is deeply intentional about keeping her materials and process as sustainable as possible. Each piece she creates is layered with meaning — a blend of cultural memory, creativity, and a deep respect for the hands that passed this knowledge down.

Natalie’s biggest influences are her mum and her two nanas. Their strength, creativity, and care continue to shape how she sees the world — and how she makes.

Her practice is rooted in the space where tradition and innovation meet: where old motifs find new life, and where Pacific stories continue to grow and shift. Through her work, she celebrates the beauty of women’s handiwork, honours her roots, and contributes to the evolving story of Pacific art today.
